MINU KOER MUD RUN 2026

Date: 12.07.2026
Start: 11:

Summer, mud, water, obstacles, slipping, climbing, falling flat on your belly – and lots of laughter.

If you enjoy a fun challenge, running, walking and spending time with dogs, this event is for you!

The route takes participants through a variety of terrain.

WE HAVE 2 DISTANCES AND BOTH ARE TIMED:

4 km course – suitable for sport dogs and participants who enjoy speed, want to compete against the clock and take on a more athletic challenge.

7 km course – the classic Minu Koer Mud Run route for those who love water and mud. This distance is also timed, but you can complete the course at your own pace – running or walking.

Advice for Participants

  • If an obstacle feels too difficult, you may skip it. The competition rules allow you to skip an obstacle by completing the required number of penalty squats.

  • Prepare for the event together with your dog. Keep your dog in good physical condition.

  • Do not feed your dog for at least two hours before the mud run.

  • Help your dog complete and pass the obstacles. If needed, you may carry your dog.

  • Be considerate of other participants and their dogs. Remember that you are not alone on the course.

  • Follow the principles of fair play. A victory or first place is not worth much if it is achieved unfairly.

  • Do not leave rubbish behind. Please keep the entire event area clean. Rubbish and dog waste must be placed in the designated bins. Bring dog waste bags with you.

  • Smoking is allowed only in designated areas.

  • The organiser reserves the right to change the course distance and the number of obstacles.

  • The route includes both natural and artificial obstacles. Every obstacle may be muddy and dirty.

  • As a participant, you understand that during the event your body and clothing, as well as your dog’s coat, will get muddy and dirty. Please bring towels and, if available, a drying coat so that you can clean and dry both yourself and your dog after completing the course. Water will be available on site for rinsing.

Please arrive at least one hour before the start of the event. It is also worth arriving earlier. If you bring a crate, setting it up will take some time. Please also allow time to get from the parking area to the registration point.

That is completely fine. You can help your dog at every obstacle. If that does not help, each obstacle will show how many squats you need to do in order to skip it and continue.

Of course. We believe every dog is equally valuable and welcome on the course.

That is completely okay. Complete the distance at a pace that suits you. The most important thing is to have fun.

You can give your place to someone else or sell it to another person. You can share the information in our Facebooki group.

To take part in Minu Koera Mud Run, your dog must be at least 12 months old. There is no upper age limit, but if you participate with an older dog, the dog must be in good physical condition. If needed, consult your veterinarian before the event.

DOG REQUIREMENTS:

A participant may take part in the event with a dog of any breed or size, whether neutered or not, provided that the dog meets the following requirements:

– the dog is at least 12 months old;
– the dog is not in heat;
– the dog is microchipped;
– the required vaccinations have been completed;
– the dog is properly socialised;
– the dog is in good physical condition and physically healthy, meaning not overweight, not suffering from chronic illness, and that the dog’s physical health and/or life is not at risk during the event. To make sure your dog is fit to take part, we recommend consulting your veterinarian before the event;
– the dog has received deworming treatment no later than 2–3 weeks before the event.

Before the start of the event, a veterinarian will check whether the dog has a microchip and a veterinary passport.

Safety comes first. If you have any doubts about your dog’s behaviour around other dogs, the use of a muzzle is mandatory.

If a dog shows aggressive behaviour, the organiser may, for the safety of participants, require the dog to wear a muzzle. In cases of extremely aggressive behaviour, the organiser may decide to disqualify the dog from the event. The participation fee will not be refunded.

A participant who refuses to put a muzzle on their dog after being advised to do so must leave the event area. The participation fee will not be refunded.
